Boards@Housing

Being able to navigate the regulatory landscape, legal obligations and ethical standards is essential for effective decision-making and ensuring the association operates ethically and transparently.

Social housing is constrained by increasing challenges but also has opportunities to think differently. Board members and those with governance responsibilities need to have a complete view of new legislation, residents’ needs, and a changing political and economic future if they are to be able to support innovative solutions for their communities

Boards@Housing gives all board members, committee members, councillors and non-execs in housing associations, local authorities, government agencies and charities, the chance to visit Housing 2024 as a delegate on Thursday 27 June FREE of charge (saving you £685 per person).

This includes access to all areas of the event alongside a hosted lunch reception with Adecco, HACT and Placeshapers with our keynote speaker Mike Emmerich, chair, Torus and former No 10 special adviser. Mike will draw on his experience within treasury at New Labour to offer sage advice to you on how to shape your relationship with the new government, whenever that is, and discuss his ambition at Torus to cement their role as an anchor institution and to deliver even more affordable homes. He will be in conversation with Catherine Ryder, chief executive officer, Placeshapers.
