The cause or the solution – are housing providers doing all they can to prevent and end homelessness?

When we think about housing providers’ roles in tackling homelessness, we tend to focus on how they rehouse people and build the new homes we urgently need. But we also need to consider the ways in which their policies and practices have potential to prevent people accessing the homes they need or even contribute to their existing tenants becoming homeless. How do we make sure that we solve rather than cause homelessness?
