Earlier this month the Government published their consultation on building safety (following the initial Hackitt Review in May last year). Dee O’Connell from the MHCLG Building Safety Programme will talk us through the key recommendations in the consultation and what this will mean in practice for housing organisations in the future. However, any changes proposed following this consultation will take years to implement so the message is clear – don’t wait – act now! Our other speakers will address what organisations should be doing now to ensure that their buildings are safe and to assure residents.
