This session will explore the potential of smart devices, voice assistants and IoT to empower individuals, provide autonomy and encourage social interaction, while reducing care needs. Two case studies will reveal the impact of a range of technologies on health and wellbeing and assess whether it can enable independent living and increase community cohesion.
