2023 conference agenda
Green spaces offer obvious benefits to communities and the environment through decarbonisation, physical and mental health benefits and cost-effective restorative justice and community payback programmes to prevent people, from becoming involved in crime and anti-social behaviour in the first place. However, Green spaces do present unique challenges from littering, dog fouling, drink and drugs etc to the location of choice for more serious violent and organised crime. This session will consider the management of anti-social behaviour in green spaces from design and maintenance, policies and procedures, partnership working and remedies available under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014.
