Specialist Housing stream

The Specialist Housing stream will explore the changing needs of housing not just for older and disabled people but for all groups of people with specialist needs.

Issues to be explored include:

Making the business case for increasing Specialist Housing development at a time of urgent need
Developing sustainable financial business plans without impacting tenant affordability
Co-production and listening to the tenant voice
Integrating housing, health and social care – addressing complexity and getting the board behind it
Next steps for the new Supported Housing Act – raising standards without curbing new provision
Overcoming the barriers to attracting “good” institutional investment
Preparing for government-mandated accessibility standards for all new homes
Improving the supply and quality of Specialist Housing for those with learning disabilities
Mental health and moving into long-term supported housing in the community
Supporting people to make informed decisions about downsizing into Specialist Housing
The opportunity of tech-enabled care to support independent living and joined-up working

TSA are proud to partner Housing 2023

Over the course of the Housing event, TEC Services Association TSA will be hosting their own TSA TEC theatre. They will be delivering a number of practical sessions that will give you insight and know-how. Sessions will explore how technology enabled care within housing plays a vital role in empowering individuals to have the correct support in place to live the life they want.
