Housing has come a long way in ensuring that LGBTQ+ people feel safe and accepted in communities and workplaces. Yet it’s essential to adapt to new realities and keep evolving to ensure we’re always serving the best interests of our tenants and colleagues.

This session will explore the latest progress and challenges in making the sector more inclusive for LGBTQ+ communities. You’ll explore issues such as stigma, succession rights and the unique challenges facing younger and older LGBTQ+ people when accessing housing.

We’ll also ask if trans and non-binary people are facing lower levels of acceptance than those who identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual. How can we improve our understanding of these groups to ensure we become wholly inclusive?

Join this uplifting session to hear about the power of community and how to enhance awareness of and engagement with LGBTQ+ issues.
