Wakefield and District Housing has carried out retrofit works to nearly 200 homes in Yorkshire using ERDF funding. The Leeds Sustainability Institute at Leeds Beckett University undertook before and after building performance evaluation of these homes. This included air tightness testing, thermography and in-use monitoring through smart thermostats of the homes. They also interviewed tenants, installers and WDH staff to understand changes to thermal comfort, fuel bills and the customer journey.
