New consumer standards are placing greater responsibility on housing associations to support victims and survivors beyond the provision of alternative housing.

So do you have a culture where staff are confident to spot signs of domestic abuse and escalate issues? Are they equipped to deal with sensitive issues empathetically and non-judgementally? Do you have effective partnerships in place to improve access to expert support?

This session will explore what good looks like for housing providers developing policies and engaging staff in supporting and rehoming domestic abuse survivors.

You’ll also hear from domestic abuse survivors on how to identify the different forms of abuse and communicate with residents. Because an informed and effective response could save lives.
