Disinformation is rampant within the climate change space which makes changing people’s fundamental behaviours difficult, especially when the solutions are seen to be wholly scientific and technical. Communication, public engagement and education have a vital role in tackling the climate crisis, particularly within the housing sector. What can we do differently to communicate the benefits of energy efficiency retrofit to residents and change negative perceptions? How can we support change in our organisations by framing climate change around what’s important to colleagues? Can we learn from other policy areas about behaviour change campaigns that have been truly effective?
