We know that certain communities are disproportionately affected by homelessness. Any commitment to ending homelessness and creating a fair and secure housing system must take into account the inequalities that these groups of people are facing when accessing housing and support.

This session will explore what the available research, data and lived experience accounts tell us about homelessness within ethnically diverse, LGBTQ+, refugee and traveller communities to name a few.

What are the underlying issues and the role that legacy discrimination has to play? Ultimately, the panel will seek to make recommendations on the practical as well as long-term systemic solutions needed and how we can reach them.
