Having worked in housing in one way or another all of my career, I’m inspired seeing how others challenge the norm and break new ground. As an industry we often talk about innovation and transformation, but it can be more like putting a plaster on a wound, than treating the symptoms, or better yet, preventing the issue. I’m hoping to hear providers, suppliers and attendees discuss some of the ways we can work together to fundamentally change what we as a sector deliver, especially around how we engage with and serve customers and improving the customer experience.
We are super excited to be speaking at 11:30am every day on the Knowledge Stage! On day one Mohamed Mostafa (Microsoft MVP) will highlight some of the amazing technology available to change the way we think about housing services, incl. Microsoft Copilots, OpenAI & ChatGPT. On day two, I’ll be running a session to showcase the connected capabilities of our amazing platform, iProperty Cloud. Then on day three, if you like the sound of what Microsoft is bringing to the market, and what we’re doing with iProperty Cloud to enhance that further, why not hear from our customers? Kevin Butterworth will take to the stage with one of our amazing partners, to hear how iProperty Cloud is being used and implemented across various organisations, opening up amazing possibilities for the future.
There are many examples of inspiring young people across the country, doing amazing, selfless things, innovating and showing compassion (both in and out of the housing context). What do you feel it is that you are doing to set an example for those talented people to want to get into Politics to be able to make real world change at scale?
Listening. I spend a lot of my time talking, collaborating, designing, innovating with the technology that we provide. So, I’m super excited to listen and to hear from old acquaintances, potential clients, existing clients, other suppliers and housing customers. I’d love to hear what challenges and old ways of working they’d like us to disrupt.
Sir David Attenborough. Just like with a lot of things in the housing sector, I think we often look inwards too much for inspiration. What David Attenborough has done to raise awareness about the importance of sustaining and valuing the natural world and all it’s inhabitants and habitats etc, is nothing short of amazing. I’d love to hear his take on housing and where he would seek change or innovation to improve the lives of our customers.
Community is at the heart of housing, so what better way is there to talk, listen, collaborate, discuss and innovate, than to come together and share our collective experiences and aspirations every now and then. We have common challenges, together we can come up with more holistic solutions.
